Happy 4th

After a cookout at Grammy Rhodes' on the 4th, Candice and Claire came over and shared their sparklers with us. The boys loved staying up late playing with fire, and Elliot chased Claire about the driveway as she waved her sparklers madly to and fro.

Yay! Candice and Claire are in from Thailand. Last Monday, June 23rd, Philip, Bek, Anita, Vincent and I made a quick one day trip to Delaware to visit with them for several hours. It was so good to see them again!



Vincent News:
Other than growing cuter by the minute, he is still all huggable and kissable and squeezable and sweet! He started laughing as of Tuesday night this week, during a "dance" to the song "I've Got A River Of Life Flowing Out of Me" while having our bedtime devotions with Elliot. He gives all kinds of smiles and coos and loves to interact with people. He also loves to watch Elliot play and gives him lots of smiles too. He is sleeping an average of 8 hours at night, and usually goes down for the night by 9. He's a thumb sucker and often that's how he wakes me up at night when he's ready to eat - I hear him smacking away on his thumb. He's a laid back little guy, and so easy to put to sleep. Often we can just lay him in his crib when he's drowsy, and he'll suck his thumb or pacifier to sleep. But lest you think he's perfect, although he rarely cries, when he does, it's in earnest!






Elliot News:
He's so much fun to be around!! He's really starting to talk, and it seems he learns a new word every day. Today he learned "awesome". He's also in to saying "No" to anything and everything, even if it's something he wants. He loves playing with any kind of ball, the outdoors, swimming in his frog pool, dancing to music, the motorcycle, and looking at books. He's really good with Vincent and likes to give him his version of hugs and kisses, which pretty much amount to laying his head on some part of Vincent's body.
Favorite foods: fruit, cheesies, meat, yogurt, and eggs.
Favorite books: anything with animals or trucks
Favorite toys: balls, his tractor, building blocks
