On the way out of the door tonight as Martin was taking all the kids to the library, I overheard this conversation:

Elliot: Annaliese looks so super cute!
Vincent: I'm cute too!
Martin: Who's ugly?
Elliot, in all seriousness: Pagans!!

I laughed and laughed when I heard this, and I'm still chuckling as I write this post! Poor pagans, not a cute one among them!

Friends

The top pictures are of some new friends the boys have made recently, Clement and Sophia Haddad. Their family recently moved to the area and have been coming to our church. Elliot and Clement hit it off immediately and love to play all sorts of imaginative games together. The bottom pictures are of our friends Mateo and Leo Kurtz, who joined us in a trek to the National Zoo in D.C. last month!

Creative Expressions

We've been having fun with creative expression around our home recently, from painting a blackboard wall, to corking leaves of different colors on tree branches, to making a human bridge! It's fun to see the boys grow in their artistic abilities, and we do a lot of crafts in the winter-time. At least this year they'll be able to play chalk-board games and learn to draw their letters right on the wall!
