Vincent is 17 and 1/2 months old, and he's so much fun!!! Oh my, he brightens our days with his antics. He's VERY expressive and loves to snuggle and cuddle. He loves playing with Elliot, reading books by himself or with one of us, playing with trucks and tractors and balls, playing in the sandbox, riding his tractor all over the Woodmen of the World parking lot (we've gotten permission to use that) and doing wheelies, helping to "wash dishes" which pretty much involves running his hand through the water and dumping water out with a measuring cup, and riding on the motorcycle with Martin. He attempts most words, but still leaves the first consonants off of every word, for example, I'm "amma" and Martin's "adda", sun is "un", walk is "alk", cloud is "oud", etc. I exaggerate the first consonant to try to get him to use it with the word, but he just makes the consonant sound by itself and doesn't finish the word. Little Bugger. Two of my favorite words he currently says are "roller" which is "wohwa", and "Woodmen of the World" which is "wohwohwohwuhwohwah" - cracks me up every single time he says that!!! Another thing peculiar to him is that his "yes" is simply a chuckle, like if he says "ick" for "drink" and you say "Do you want a drink Vincent?", he'll reply with a little chuckle - love it! He also recognizes the letters "O" and "S", and happily interrupts many stories in books by pointing them out to us. He also likes to watch youtube movies with Elliot and requests "AooAooA", which is E-I-E-I-O for Old McDonald. He's also known to throw a temper tantrum or two, especially now that he's been sick for a while and has a bad cold, and let me tell you it's hard to keep my cool because, as I mentioned earlier, he's VERY expressive! But all in all, he's a fun loving happy-go-lucky little guy, and we love him so very much! Oh, and by the way, he learned to move from a sitting position to a standing position all by himself the other day. Now he's starting to explore the climbing route - YAY! Go Vincent!

Yay!! I love updates of my nephews. It's so fun to see what they're doing and to get a picture of what life is like for them. Thanks for your description. Love you, Carmen
