For Vincent's 5th birthday, we met Martin in DC at the Zoo, since Martin was already in the city for a Missio Alliance conference.
As usual, we had a fantastic time at the zoo. After supper at Noodle & Company, we headed home, and Martin and I had time to talk about his conference while the kids slept the whole way .

Sunday evening, we invited some friends and the grandparents over for a birthday supper, cake & ice-cream, a pinata for the kids, and a camp-fire. Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures.
We are so thankful for Vincent, for his quiet presence, zeal and passion, love of nature and the outdoors, love of bike-riding and baseball, appreciation for and fascination with designs and architecture, and for the great friend and brother he is to his siblings. We love you Vincent!
