Butterflies and Soren

Last Fall, the kids brought inside a bunch of swallowtail caterpillars that were big and fat and munching on our parsley.   The kids created a beautiful boxed home for these creatures, complete with lots of parsley, sticks, capfuls of water, and flowers and grass.  However, a couple caterpillars managed to escape their lovely home, and over the winter we noticed several cocoons throughout our house.  Recently some of the butterflies emerged from their chrysalis and graced us with their beauty.  It's been amazing to watch them fan their wings and learn to fly!  There's something truly miraculous about this transformation.

This morning Annaliese and I got to spend the day with this fun little boy!  He has a cute, friendly sense of humor, and I love being entertained by him!  Enjoy the many faces of Soren Robbie Fisher Rhodes....
