Happy 3rd Birthday Vincent

He's officially 3 years old now! We celebrated his day like this:
First he opened his present from us - a wheelbarrow filled with frogs, lizards, and worms. Then we ate a breakfast of fried mush - per his request. Then we hung out here at home - he played with his wheelbarrow - filled it up with lots of loads of toys - while Elliot and I baked his cake. I fixed a lunch of hotdogs, mac and cheese, and peas - some of his favorite foods. Then he took a LONG nap while Elliot and I decorated his cake (a motorcycle per his request). When his dad came home, we all went to Chick fil A for supper. We came home and partied with friends and family, and he opened some more gifts - a big bouncy kick-ball, a lawnmower that blows bubbles, and a Thomas the Tank Engine game. Then he went to bed, after spontaneously saying "I had a happy birfday"!.

So grateful for his lively fun happy self! We love him very much indeed!

P.S. For some reason I can't find pictures of his cake! Once I locate them I'll add them to this post.

1/2 Year Old Today!

6 months old already! She's still the sweetest little girl I've ever known!
-Sits up on her own with little to no support
-Eats anything in sight, but her digestive system can only handle fruits like peaches, strawberries, blueberries, mangoes.
-Loves her brothers and they can make her smile more easily than anyone else, except maybe her dad
-An easy sleeper, cuddles up to my chest with her blanket and sucks her thumb
-Rarely fusses - so happy!
-Has 2 bottom teeth
-Hasn't rolled over yet and does not like to be on her tummy
-Won't take a bottle anymore, only will breast-feed
-Has a great laugh and great sense of humor!
-Gets so many comments from other people about how bright her eyes are and how beautiful she is.

Happy 4th Birth Day Elliot Hans Witmer Rhodes

He's 4! A happy day for him, and for all of us! He's such a delight, and growing up so quickly.
On his special day:
-Breakfast per his request of apple walnut hotcakes.
-Opened gifts from Martin and I - a scooter and a rocket launcher.
-Helped make his birthday cake - a banana chocolate chip cake. His request also was to decorate them "round, with sprinkles, and a slide".
-Lunch with me, Vincent, Annaliese at Chick Fil A
-Then to his cousin Jefferson's et al for the afternoon and supper.
-Back home in the evening for birthday cake, ice-cream, and a party with grandparents and his Beery cousins.
Thanks to everyone who helped to celebrate and make his day special!
