So Martin has officially finished school now!! We celebrated by going out for Mexican food together and took Elliot to be babysat by some friends of ours. We've pretty much just been relaxing and enjoying time together as family. Some of the things we've done in the past week include: neighborhood walks, taking in a Durham Bulls game, attending a 10th anniversary vow renewal service of some friends, applying for jobs, planting flowers and mulching the flowerbed, and having a potluck meal with our Chapel Hill Mennonite Group.
News on Elliot...some of the things he really enjoys thus far:
1. "Talking" and playing with us, which includes lots of anticipated kisses on the cheeks
2. Taking a bath
3. Having his diaper changed
4. Playing on his jungle gym and "talking" to the bird and bumble bee.
Some new things he's been doing recently:
1. Squealing in delight
2. Bringing his hands to his mouth
3. Sucking his thumb (ambidextrously)
4. Studying his hands in wonder
5. Standing on his legs more.
We're looking forward to having family in this weekend to celebrate Martin's graduation!

Congratulations Martin!! I wish we could be there to celebrate with you on Saturday. We will be watching via internet, which we are very excited about. Enjoy your time off with Sylvia and Elliot. Love you, Carmen
Elliot is really getting big!! He is such a cutie pie. Tim is graduating on Saturday, too. Hope you guys are having a great time!
