Sparkling Springs Day

We had lunch together with Mom and Dad Rhodes at the Sparkling Springs cabin today. (Except Dietrich, who had to sacrifice the holiday for a hard day of work at Sharp Shopper.) Delicious grilled hotdogs and hamburgers with all the fixin's, chips, chili, avocados, drinks, and watermelon and cantaloupe completed the meal. Thanks to Mom and Dad for the food! We relaxed the rest of the afternoon. After a nap in the hammock, Elliot enjoyed throwing rocks, mud, and pretty much anything he could get his hands on in the creek. Philip captured a crayfish and dammed the creek (hmmm...hope the place isn't flooded yet!) and then he, Martin, and the folks played a couple of games of shuffle board. The day ended with a church league softball game in the evening, and our team won! A nice Memorial Day.

Elliot's eyes really are beautiful. And I really enjoyed those roly poly arms of Vincent's on the last couple of pictures. Looks like they have a happy, loved life. :)

I thoroughly enjoyed those moments with Elliot by the brook. A brook; what a wonderful "toy" with endless creative possibilities! Granddaddy
