By day we were mild mannered Software trainers, leading our charges through the intricacies of powerful software applications.
This is the room we spent two and a half (work) days in, training 8-9 folks.
But during non-working hours we partied with Hollywood's greatest stars - here's proof.
We got into the city the night that the Academy Awards were being held, and we made the obligatory trek to the Kodak theater and other Hollywood tourist traps on our final day in the city.
We also made our way to Santa Monica where we strolled the pier, rode the Farris Wheel, and practiced our gymnastic skills on the beach (well just Tim actually)
However, I was more than happy to abandon the urban cityscape and fast paced life of Los Angeles...
..for the rural life of hard manual labor. In this case, building a sandbox for my boys. Last weekend, Elliot and I set out in Grandpa Witmer's truck in search of a lot of sand and other supplies. He loved R.S. Monger's lumber with the trucks, skidloaders, and trains, as well as the mounted deer head on the wall of the main office. After stopping at Mongers and Rocking R for some spring planting supplies and a candy bar we headed back home for the hard work.
It is amazing how 950 pounds of sand can disappear in a 6x6 by one foot tall frame. Now if we can just keep the stray cats out...
